Stunning OOAK Cutlery Phoenix FOR SALE

I finally have a dedicated account for all of my cutlery sculptures! Woo! First up, my gorgeous cutlery Phoenix made in 2014.
This piece, 'Rising Phoenix' was made for a project designed to reimagine a commonplace material. My chosen material was cutlery, and I focused on the history of cutlery and the history of dinnertable etiquette. I Was drawn in by the tradition surrounding decorative centrepieces at the table, and how in many cultures it was important to create mythical animals out of ordinary ones to create an edible or decorative centrepiece. The Peacock/Phoenix caught my eye, and I came to create a majestic Phoenix centrepiece rising from the table. Although designed to be a centrepiece, this sculpture works in any setting and looks absolutely beautiful.
Rising Phoenix stands approximately 2ft tall and is made 100% from stainless steel cutlery, most of which has been upcycled from charity shops. This is a completely one of a kind unique handmade piece.
